Erich Dryden
Attorney
For 20+ years I worked at the Texas Attorney General’s Office doing criminal and appellate work in capital murder cases.
I have had about a half dozen oral arguments before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and have drafted hundreds of briefs involving complex procedural and constitutional issues before the United States Supreme Court, Fifth Circuit, and US District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas. I am admitted to practice in all of those courts. I also have fairly extensive motion practice experience and have prepared for and attended in court hearings in these cases, particularly regarding issues of intellectual disability and DNA evidence/testing.
I was born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. I’m happily married to wife Jennifer, and we live in Austin with our dog Maggie. My hobbies are traveling, visiting US national parks, hiking, listening to music (I have an extensive vinyl collection), and primarily motorcycle riding.
